Music
When I was 8 years old my parents gave me a violin. It took me a time of 4 years to start taking formal classes (meanwhile I was just making horrible noises with it).
I started learning in an artistic institute. In the morning I was learning maths, history and those subjects that you learn at school, and in the afternoon I was taking violin classes. My teacher was very patient and dedicated. The first class I learned how to play "twinkle twinkle little star" and I was really excited, then it got harder.
I had to take musical theory class and I had to learn how to read music and even how to sing and how to direct music. So I think it was really complete. Those classes helped me to be patient and to be methodic because sometimes violin it wasn't good at all, and I had to practice and practice until the sound was better. Constancy is something that I learned and it helps me until now.
Now I don't take clasess so that discipline helps me to practice alone and to not forget everything that I learned, to keep the rythm.

Wonderful! Instruments are great, and they help expand us in some way. I used to play the cello (for two years) when I was about 12; now I play the accordion.
